Ehna Beto' El Tahrir
Curation / Documentary
This project was born from my desire to document the events of the 2011 Egyptian revolution, which erupted in my final months of study at Al Azhar university.
This group exhibition, which I curated, showcased pictures of the revolution, and was opened to the public in May 2011.
The images were showcased at the Sadat Metro Station in Tahrir Square, the heart of Cairo and of the revolution. This location was chosen to overcome psychological barriers that make the wider public hesitant to visit galleries and art spaces.
